🧶 June Challenge Day 10! 🧶 Today's Happy Mail delivery contained a surprise that Mrs T definitely wasn't expecting! Mr T secretly ordered some yarn from Temu inspired by the Denver Broncos colours, including a gigantic 1kg ball of bright orange yarn and a huge red, white and blue yarn cake. The big question is... what on earth should we make with it? We also chat about some recent comments on our Osmo Pocket 4 videos and explain why we're sharing our beginner experiences. We aren't experienced camera experts—we're learning as we go and want to share the things that new users actually want to know. To finish off the vlog, Mrs T has absolutely no hesitation in calling Mr T out on camera... and honestly, she might have a point! 🦆 June Challenge Day 9! 🧶 Today Mr T starts his very first duck project... and decides to make it a blue duck! Not everything goes to plan though, as the safety eyes refuse to stay in place and Mr T has to use a glue gun for the first time. We also discover that Mr T absolutely loves the dupe Furls crochet hooks, which may mean he needs a set of his own very soon. To finish the vlog, we chat about how the June Challenge is going so far. Mrs T admits she's really enjoying making things every day... but when Mr T needs help, he expects her full attention. Apparently he's a very demanding crochet student! Sea Glass Hunting & Giant Art Cats in the Rain! 🌧️ | June Vlog Day 8 Welcome back to Day 8 of our 30-Day June Vlog Challenge on Yarn ChickHen! Today we are recapping our Sunday adventure, which turned out to be a masterclass in dodging typical Scottish summer weather. Yes, it was rain on and off the whole day! After trying our best to stay dry, we headed out to check out one of the fantastic, larger-than-life sculptures on the new Wemyss Ware Cat Trail. These giant cats are an incredible addition to the local area, celebrating Kirkcaldy's famous pottery heritage! Naturally, we needed fuel, so we stopped off for a proper links sausage bap before the heavens opened up again. Once the downpour eased, we made our way onto Seafield Beach for a bit of beachcombing. We managed to collect some beautiful pieces of sea glass—or "mermaids tears" as we call them up here in Scotland—along with some lovely old pottery shards. The real mission of the day was to test out our brand-new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 camera in the field. Keeping it dry was priority number one, but we spent half the trip completely fumbling the settings, accidentally switching the noise cancellation on and off by mistake! 😂 Did you spot any Wemyss cats this weekend? 🎬 June Vlog Challenge — Day 7 | Yarn ChickHen with Mrs T and Friends We have to talk about the Scottish Word of the Day first. Today's word was BURR. As in — the rough, scratchy imperfection you get on a crochet hook. Which is exactly what Mrs T spent today testing all nine dupe Furl hooks for. Yes. The Scottish Word of the Day was BURR on the day we tested hooks for BURRS. Mr T planned this. He absolutely did not plan this. 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The verdict on the hooks? Not a single burr on any of the nine sizes! Mrs T made a little white swatch with each one to properly put them through their paces — and they passed with flying colours. 🎬 June Vlog Challenge — Day 6 | Yarn ChickHen with Mrs T and Friends Mr T missed a trick yesterday with his Scottish Word of the Day. He knew it. We all knew it. So today he came back and absolutely delivered — today's word is JOBBY. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😱 (For our non-Scottish friends — look it up. We'll wait.) Meanwhile Mrs T has been busy! 🎬 June Vlog Challenge — Day 5 | Yarn ChickHen with Mrs T and Friends Day 5 and Mrs T wastes absolutely no time — she opens by going through Mr T's mistakes from previous videos one by one. In great detail. With evidence. And yes, Mr T eventually admits she was right. It was painful. 😬 Our brilliant French viewer asks a fantastic question about hat making — rounds vs rows — which Mrs T answers perfectly. Birthday girl IB puts in a very specific request: she wants Mr T to make a bluebird next. Good luck, Mr T. 🐦 Then the best happy mail arrives — a gorgeous set of dupe Furl crochet hooks that have been doing the rounds on social media lately. Mrs T unboxes them on camera and they look absolutely stunning. Mr T has opinions, obviously, because nothing is ever for him. Mrs T's response?
